Any tips to increase sales? - And how long until you got your first sale?

I started up my shop around a week and a half ago and received my first sale about 5/6 days ago, is that considered good for a new shop? :)

I improved my SEO the other day and revisited all of my listings and altered them to appear higher in searches, it worked! although no increase in sales (as of yet!)

If anyone has any tips to increase sale or how to maintain a steady amount of sales then PLEASE post below as any information will be appreciated!

I really want to kickstart my photography career and I know this is definitely the place for doing so but from what I can see it will take a lot of hard work, commitment and improvements here and there to achieve this!

Yes, I'd say that's great for a new shop!

The more listings you have in your shop, the more chances you have of people finding you. Keep tweaking your titles and tags, as SEO seems to change daily. :)

You'll pick up all tools on your way, patience and experience is key:) willing to learn, expect good days and the bad ones. Soc media, your own blog, treasury teams, forums, giveaways, handing out actual cards, advertising. That's what I do at least :)

Congrats on your sale! I think it's great for a shop so young, your prices are reasonable and your photos are lovely. I think it's about having a presence on the Internet and marketing yourself. Do you use Facebook or a blog? That may help

Wow Jason, I love your photos! (just favorited your shop). I am pretty new here too, but have actually been doing better than I ever thought I would by now. (yay!). I would probably just work to keep adding items. The more listings you have, the better chance you have in being found in search. I think your tags and titles look great! The only suggestion I had was to maybe change the first paragraph of your description a bit. Everything I have read and researched says you should describe your items like you would if you were actually describing it to someone. It looks like you just repeat your title. You definitely want to get those title words in, but maybe do it in a way that seems more like a conversation? Just my thoughts.
