An eclectic shop front?

HI there everyone! Im still relatively new. When I actually started my shop I wasn't really ready to go :). I'm actively trying now and just looking for some thoughts on having wide variety of things within one shop. I sort of have artistic ADD as well as just loving so many other subjects. I'm really at a loss right now as to how to pull it all together lol. DO you have a limited subject in your shops? Have multiple shop fronts instead? Or do you smash it all together in a creative way? HOW? Id love to hear!

Re: An eclectic shop front?

I have a lot of different types of items, but revolve around my main craft, knitting. I keep it coordinated with similar backgrounds, and rearranging the order of my listed items.

I've seen other shops that do several thing, and keep it "clean" the same way I do. Or 1 page jewelry, the next candles, etc..

Re: An eclectic shop front?

I have three separate shops - I sell jewelry here, purses in the second, and soap in the third. There was just no way to sell all that and keep it cohesive enough to make ME happy. All shops have to be disclosed in your profile anyway, so I know I get traffic from each shop to the others.

If you keep the props and backgrounds cohesive, it is possible make an eclectic collection work. Vintage shops do it all the time.

You can use shop sections for the different items in your shop. I have prints and needle felting in my store and I hope to add drawing in the future
