Am I just being paranoid?

Ok so I have a question about adverstising on facebook. I recieved an email that had a coupon code that I can use to get $50 in free advertising on Facebook. So I just went through all all the steps to set up an ad and etc.....when i got to the end to review and order I was asked to go ahead and put in my credit card info, I started to then was a little leary, because of all I have heard with privacy issues on facebook. I didn't want to enter my personal credit card info in there. I was thinking that I could just enter the coupon code and that would be it, but they said that I had to enter a credit card (funding source) then afterward I'd be prompted to enter the coupon code. I just cancelled the whole thing. Sooooo.................HELP?? I know some of you have advertised on facebook, so is it safe and is there a possible way, just maybe that i can remove my credit card after my ad campaign runs? Please what would you all suggest?

Thanks :)

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

Facebook has a whole bunch of FAQ's about creating ads, best practices and even a form to contact someone for help.
Here is a link that might help you

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

I've run ads on facebook, starting with a coupon. I've not had any problems with it...the facebook prviacy issues are a separate thing to any credit card information you put in. And once you've used up your $50, you can just cancel.

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

Many credit card companies will give you an Internet account number for one time use. I have not used one but it might be a solution
