Am I impatient or just not appealing?

I opened my store about a month ago and have not sold anything. I am going to add more items over the weekend. Am I just in the hard part of the stage (getting known) or is there something really wrong with my shop? Please give me some hard critique so I can be ready for the holiday rush and a lot of it!

Thanks!
Emma

To those who have already critiqued my shop, THANKS, you have made my shop a whole lot better!

I feel like I have critiqued your shop before hah! If you ask me, you need patience, more items, maybe a few more higher priced, crazier pieces too.

Do wacky, expensive items help get the shop noticed? I'm trying to find ways to get more traffic to my store.

Hello Emma,
I think I would like to see uniformity in your pictures. Soft and neutral backgrounds always help to see and enjoy the items you're selling. I also agree with 1AEON about the crazier pieces and higher prices.

Good luck with everything! ;o) Many sales to you...

Re: Am I impatient or just not appealing?

People say that customers actually want high prices to show that the pieces are high quality. I have actually raised my prices because of it!

Best of Luck!

Thanks all of you! I am going to make a pendant necklace (higher priced) and some wacky wired ones!

Re: Am I impatient or just not appealing?

Gee, Emma, you say you haven't sold anything but in your shop you made 2 sales prior to your post. 2 sales in your first month is probably about right on target for jewelry sales. You've gotten alot of critiques. Now that you've implemented some of those changes, see what works for you and what doesn't.

Re: Am I impatient or just not appealing?

Hi Emma,

I would suggest fine tuning some of your listings. For example, with these earrings -

How long are the earrings? Buyers find dimensions helpful. On my monitor, the photos in this listing are a bit blurry and dark. The red cloth is working against your cute earrings. You want those fiery red earrings to pop out at a buyer. Make sure you are using all your tags. You may want to try these tags and see if they increase your views -

beaded earrings
dangle earrings
red earrings

Best wishes! :)

Thanks Terri. I forgot to mention that those were just trades for supplies actually!
