Aiming for 100 views today.

I'm aiming for 100 views today. Only 10 left. Squee!!!!!!!

And I do need your honest opinions on the new pics. I don't know, something looks wrong.

Re: Aiming for 100 views today.

I like consistency with the pics. I would shoot for one consistent color background and maybe no props.

Hope you hit 101 today!

I agree with Kate that more consistent backgrounds would be better. I'm normally a fan of plain white backgrounds, however I actually kind of like the wine glass/coffee cup in yours. Perhaps you could shoot them on a plain white background and leave those in for a few of them.

Re: Aiming for 100 views today.

Good luck!!

I feel the same as kate.. If you would like variation, maybe photograph each with a different block colour background with plenty of natural light to keep them bright and cheerful... could look really nice like that!

Also the collection of images seems half dark and the other half of them over exposed (harsh bright).. Maybe take the images in good natural light so that the brightness is more natural

With your bold pretty colours they should look ace in no time! :)

Re: Aiming for 100 views today.

Hi Jen
Your pics could do with a bit of brightening. Have a look at this thread, there's heaps to learn here http://www.etsy.com/teams/12647/ask-angela-friends/discuss/10388075/page/1/
plus also I would like to see a pic or two with the slippers either being worn ( You only need a foot model here) or in context - maybe sitting beside a foot rest or bed - make up a still life including your slippers.
That will add a bit of pizzazz and make them stand out.
Definitely if you are going to use a plain background, keep it simple, clean, no creases ( try using a large sheet of paper, sitting the slippers to the front and having the rest of the paper leaning or taped to the wall behind (there are heaps of threads on making light boxes for smaller items)

Re: Aiming for 100 views today.

I did it!!!! Over 100 views. Thanks everyone.

I have retaken all the pics, but they look dark. I will try again tomorrow morning so see if I get better results. I have a plain white poster board that I'm shooting against now.

Re: Aiming for 100 views today.

I think these are great, http://www.etsy.com/listing/103713922/on-sale-nfl-team-slippers-green-bay - much more professional than the thumbnails with text/retail price in the corner. I would suggest also doing more angles too - instead of just from the top - perhaps also try from the side. :)
Congrats on 100 views!

Hiya! If your struggling to take a good enough photo it might be worth trying to brighten/ improve the photos on photoshop or online editors like befunky.com!x
