After Shipping

Once I've shipped my item and waited a week or so, is it inappropriate to contact the buyer to find out how they like the item and maybe ask that they provide feedback on my shop?? I have about 3 buyers who have left no feedback and I think that is very helpful for future sales.

Leaving feedback is optional so I dont think contacting the buyer & asking them to leave it is appropriate. I always ask in my note to them with the delivery confirmation to let me know when they receive the item and if it is satisfactory.

I usually write them when I haven't heard anything but rarely get an email back saying they go it. I have to just accept that no news is good news.....

I would never ask for feedback. You just have to accept the fact that the majority of people won't bother. If you want to build your feedback score then make some purchases. Most sellers are good about leaving feedback.

Also, if you ship with delivery confirmation you can check to make sure that the item was received.

When I thank the customer for their purchase and let them know the item is on its way, I say I would appreciate their feedback. But I never follow up after that. Unfortunately, a lot of buyers don't leave feedback.

I've heard people say that they have ended up getting negative feedback when they ask customers to leave them feedback. I wouldn't recommend it, some people may find it spammy.

When I have tracked their package and seen that its been received,
I send them an email/convo saying "I see you have recd your package and hope that you like it"..but I dont really ask for feedback:-)

Very few people let me know they have received their item. Use delivery conformation so you can check if you want. I never bother people about feedback and have had people leave feedback months and months later. I had sombody contact me about feedback one time and it kinda annoyed me. Maybe this is just me.

Don't forget that you get a higher feedback number when you leave feedback for items you have purchased too.

We accept that not everyone will leave feedback...but in our message to buyers box/invoice we say something to the effect of, "Thank you for your purchase and we hope after you receive your item/s that you'll leave your thoughts about your purchase on our feedback page...."
We also ask them to please contact us if there is anything about their purchase that they are not happy with before leaving negative feedback.

You don't have to ask for feedback, but you can ask them if they were pleased with your promptness of delivery, and, btw, "...were you pleased with your purchase."

Then thank them for their support.
