Advice needed for bloggers and google adsense.

Hello all!

I recently applied for google adsense for my blog. But I have just been refused due to insufficient content.

'Insufficient content: To be considered for AdSense, your site must contain
enough text content for our specialists to review and for our crawlers to
identify relevant ads to show on your pages. We recommend including more
complete sentences and paragraphs on your site. We require websites to be
fully launched and functioning, allowing users to navigate throughout your
site with a menu, sitemap, or appropriate links. Once the majority of your
site is complete and functional, we'll be happy to reconsider your
application.'

Here is my blog: http://uniquelyyoujewellery.blogspot.co.uk/

I also have my own website: http://www.uniquelyyoujewellery.co.uk/

Any advice to make sure when I apply for adsense again I get accepted would be appreciated!

Any other people apply for adsense and got rejected for the same reason?

Well, I've never applied for ad sense, but you may have been rejected because you just started your blog and don't have any followers, which may mean your traffic is low. I'm not sure, but maybe they won't let new blogs apply until they have X amount of followers and/or views?

Thank you. Perhaps you're right, because I am a very new blog.

It would be nice if they actually say that - and not get a generic reason. Heres me thinking my website is rubbish.. or something.

Re: Advice needed for bloggers and google adsense.

You may want to start with some other affiliate programs. Amazon Associates, and EBay for starters. It may be easier to qualify. I am planning a blog that is realted to the aquarium driftwood I sell on my etsy store. Of course, MY products will have top position on my blog, but I am hoping to pick up any residual income that I can. Lets keep in touch. It would be good to bounce ideas off each other??

Re: Advice needed for bloggers and google adsense.

"blog:
1.a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style."

From what I can tell the most recent post on your is from September 2014. Also you have long sections where you simple cut & pasted text from other Etsy seller's shops. The one from Thursday, 25 September 2014 is an example. One sentence from you followed by two full paragraphs from another seller. It's supposed to be your voice.

Also if you look at well-followed blogs it's clear that they writers are into whatever the subject is whether they'll have ads or not. Their enthusiasm shows through.

Long lists of other peoples' items (or your own) is really a catalog, not a blog.

Re: Advice needed for bloggers and google adsense.

I would guess a big part of it is that you haven't written anything in 2 years. Write a few new entries, work on getting more followers, and establish your demographic. Is the point of the blog to showcase other sellers? Or are you trying to tell your own story? It's a little unclear, and I didn't see an about section or something to clarify your intent. Spending less than 10 seconds looking through and skimming it... it kinda seems like a list of stuff you liked 2 years ago. : / I'd definitely see what happens once you've made it fresh again. Best of luck.
