Advice for free photo editing programs.

Hi,

I have had major laptop issues for the last week and have not been able to edit pics and list new items and slowly going mad waiting for repairs.

I am in need of suggestions for a free downloadable program that I can run on my old laptop to edit my pics.

Is there anyone out there that can help??

Btw-it needs to be idiot proof. I am not a computer savvy person and like things simple.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Advice for free photo editing programs.

Picnik.com is a good online-base photo editing site. Very simple, and I really enjoy using it. That speaks a lot for it as I'm not a computer-savvy person and really don't 'enjoy' using a lot of these programs. :)

Re: Advice for free photo editing programs.

Hmmm....I'd probably agree that Picasa and picnik are your best bets if you want simple. I don't use them myself, since iPhoto does all the simple editing I need quite well.

What software were you using on your laptop to edit?

Re: Advice for free photo editing programs.

I'm with natalya1905 picasa (free download) on the laptop for organizing photos, initial editing and picnik (free online program) for sizing, adding borders, final editing to 1000 pixels.

One word: Picnik. If I can figure it out anyone can. Easy to use and your photos look great.

Re: Advice for free photo editing programs.

I use an online editor. It's a simplified version of Adobe Photoshop and it's free.

picnik.com

Trust me and everyone else who suggests it. It's easy, it's free and you don't even have to download it. I use it with all of my images.
