Advertising on Craftopolis?

Has anyone ever paid for an ad on craftopolis? Was it successful? How long did you have your ad on there for?

Is it worth it?

How much does it cost? Is that the one where you have to pay so much money for each view that clicks on your shop?

You know I have paid for so many programs and can't even find where they are. Haven't seen any upswing in views, sad to say. Certainly no sales!

It is 15 bucks for 1 week(sunday to sunday) and no pay per clicks or anything like that. I have talked to several people that have used it and said their
traffic
hearts
favorites
sales
treasuries
all were increased by their ad!

I have thought about doing it as well, but was afraid it was a pay-per-click. I can't afford something like that, so maybe I will farther into it afterall!

I heard a lot of great reviews from others who have advertised with them, as well as craft cult. I'm going to do it come August when I have more inventory. It is a work in progress. lol

Im actually doing both. I checked my google analytics and I have more people come to me through craft cult and I don't even have an ad up!

I have never done it.. though I have considered it! Just remember that by posting ads there you will most likely be marketing towards Etsy Sellers instead of just buyers.

I've done it. Can't say that I saw a huge difference but somewhat.

I did it a while back. It led to a slight bump in hearts, but no sales. It looks like they've dropped their prices since I did it. It's a great site, and a lot of people see it, so I was kind of surprised at how little I got out of it. I think it's like a lot of sales efforts, though, it's probably hit or miss and worth a shot if you can afford it!!

Good advice everyone. On google analytics I seem to get a lot of hits from there with no ad either. Maybe when I get more listings I'll try for craftopolis for a week and see how it goes.

I am nervous that craftopolis would just be advertising to sellers...that makes sense

I did craftcult it didn't do too much for me I think just 60 visits and no sales.

I've done craftopolis, craftcult and craftcount. They all gave us a bump in views and hearts, but not in sales.

I have 24 different shops/people who likes my shops or items.. out of those 24, 6 of those are from buyers. 4 of those buyers have bought from me. I am hoping that the other 2 buyers will come back to buy from me later. The other 4 sales, did not heart me.

I'm not sure what the ratio is. But there is personal statistic.

I did craftopolis ad in November and did see an increase in sales, but I can't say if that was because of craftopolis or because of Christmas sales.

I've heard that the benefit of advertising on craftcult is that etsy sellers make a lot of treasuries through items they find on craftcult (read that from Danielle's reading list for the week!)

I tried advertisement at Craftcult several months ago.
I noticed only a marginal increase in visits in that week. But the reason can be a bad banner or a very short campaign or whatever else reason - I can't be sure.
The service was outstanding, so I recommend it warmly.
I am not quite sure that the effect is justifying the cost (for me). But I will give it (and the craftopolis) additional chance one day.
