Adobe Photoshop elements 2.0

I have now installed Adobe Photoshop elements 2.0 on my laptop and I was wondering if there is a feature with which I can whiten my background a bit.
If you look at my shop I sometimes have a pinkish glow and I want to make my background whiter.
Does anybody know how to do this with Adobe Photoshop elements?

Hi Wendy,

I have Photoshop but not elements 2.0 but might have the same commands.

Photo you are working on mine up on the top bar are click down tools
Go to Image
Adjustments
then to Color Balance, click on a side bar with different colors should appear.
Move your slide bar away from red more toward the cyan on the slider. Or work with the other sliders to get to white as best as you can.

If that doesn't work for you, there's a way to remove or fade that pink tint on a free editing website called picmonkey.com!

You could try using the wand tool, invert it so the background is selected and delete the background. It depends on the picture how detailed it is. I use 2.0 and it doesn't have many of the features the newer versions have.

You can also do a search on the web for a tutorial.

I made a photo box out of cardboard with a lamp and photoshop with insta edit Iphone App. Also, with the macro lense helps out the detail a lot.

there's a quick way to color correct... go to Enhance > Adjust Color > Remove Color Cast. Then just click on the part of the picture that should be white and it will adjust it for you.

* this should work with 2.0, but I have a later version so if you don't see it, you can still do it manually like Patricia mentioned
