I just opened my shop and wasn't expecting millions of sales right away but at least some views. I have had none. None at all... what am I doing wrong? I am even doing paid ads and still nothing :(
Don't worry about views until you've completed your shop and been open for a few months. If you still have 0 views, then ask what's wrong.
Most importantly you need: --photo icons (blank ones make you look less legit) --shop policies --to read up on copyright infringement to make sure your items aren't breaking any laws
Of secondary importance: --more items in your shop --an about section. Even a small one. --read up on SEO to improve your tags
I think I might have gotten ahead of myself LOL! I started an Amazon shop at the same time and am killin' it. There is wayyy more to Etsy than I realized! Thanks again for the advice, going to get all that done asap!
Just took a look at your shop and noticed trademark figures such as Hello Kitty. If you have obtained a license to use these figures, great. Otherwise, your shop is at risk of being shut down by Etsy. Please check Etsy's copyright and intellectual property rules; it's better to take such items down asap.
The risk is much higher than having your shop closed by Etsy. Trademark and copyright infringement is a crime and can make you end up with having to pay fines into 5 figures, per company that you ripped off. If you're lucky it starts with just a warning. (If you see other shops doing the same thing and 'getting away with it', it just means they haven't been caught yet.)
