A promotion tip for wanelo

I don't know if many of you use it already but I'd like to share a site that has driven me a lot of traffic recently since I began using it.

Here is how to make the most of this site:
Upload all of your listings (upper right hand corner text box) and TAG them A LOT. Use relevant tags and style tags. Just, the more accurate tags the better. Voila! Watch the traffic drive on through to your site as people discover your products using those tags. Good luck!

One of the main issues I'm having trying this, is that sometimes I post a new product to a collection and it says I can't post it bc the url was used already, which confuses me...

Menika, I had that happen, too. If you have the toolbar installed, then go to the item in your etsy shop that you want to add, and then click Post to Wanelo.

How to Add a Product and Create a Store

Wanelo users have two ways to add a product to the website. (Click the pictures to make them bigger.)

The first way:

(top left photo) Click the black “post+” button. A window will pop up for the product URL.
(top right photo) Copy and paste the product URL into the field. The product URL is the direct link to the product page. After pasting, hit “post product.” Then you’ll get a page to fill out with info about the item.
(bottom left photo) Starred fields are required. You can change the picture if desired. Choose a product category and list some tags. These are optional but help immensely in searches.
All done! You will be redirect to the collection page.
The second way (bottom right):

This picture shows our toolbar, which only works for Chrome and Firefox. Drag the button to your browser toolbar and voila! You can add products with a click.

But how do I create a store?

When you add at least 5 products from a new website, a store is automatically generated. Check out our stores page, sortable by following, most popular, new, and most products.

* Etsy stores currently don’t generate their own store links on Wanelo. Stores are created based on the website domain. We are working on a way to create separate Etsy stores. Thanks for your patience!

Anyone else got lots of saves and views from Wanelo in the beginning and then completely stopped? I noticed that the ''trending'' category on the site restes every week or two or so. When you first submit an item it will go into trending and rise as it gets saves, but when the category is reset your product will disappear from trending and will become vitually invisible... :( At least that's my experience. One of my items was getting tonns of saves but then the trending was resent and now nothing. :(

Is it possible to edit the listings once you post them? I'm wanting to add more tags to mine.

Alea, no, you need to do your tags thoroughly the first time because they cannot be edited at this time.

Zala: Same is happened with my items and I was wondering about. Should we delete it and upload it again?

Claudia - Unfortunately that doesn't work, you can only delete it from your profile but it will stay in everyone elses saves and Wanelo's database so when you add it again it will be exactly the same. The only thing that would work if you posted a different link to the same item, if you had it listed somewhere. But again you'd only have a limited time in the trends. Seems that Wanelo users mostly browse the categories and don't search so much.

Are other people getting continuing saves and views even after a while?

Alea - I had that problem and emailed them and they put the tags in manually for me.

Thanks Zala. So I can safte time ;-) I'm sure where not the only one with this problem. Now we have to wait for the others. May we find an option to get back our saves...
btw I go through "new" when I look for nice items. I don't use the search too because I love the surprise ;-)
