A Question about Making the Most of Renewals

Hi, all! Thank you, again, for your replies to my question about Showcases. I have signed up for one and will see - if it increases my traffic, that's good, too.

Now, a question about renewals... When you say that renewals are better and increase your traffic/sales, do you mean that you activate/deactivate the same item, say, a few times a month? Or, do you just renew when the Etsy renewal period is up? I'd love for your words of wisdom on how you use renewals to optimize traffic and, potentially, sales.

I personally take about 4-6 a renew them throughout the day.... unless it's a busy day then I take 4-6 different items and renew them in the middle of the day :)

I have been renewing about 1-3 per day. I look through and either renew my oldest ones, or ones that have the most views/hearts. When I started doing that I was surprised at some items that did have alot of hearts. Two items I recently renewed did sell out.

Hope that helps some and good luck. My sales are increasing every month and I am grateful for the tips I learned in the etsy success emails. For me, slow and steady is best.

I renew quite often when I'm in need of more sales. I search for my items through etsy. Whenever they fall down to the 4th or 5th page I renew. I tend to renew about 10 at a time, but really it would probably be best to stagger them throughout the day.

I find that it increases my page views tremendously and is definitely the best use of money I have found for my advertising budget. :)
