I think the greatest thing I've learned from Etsy so far is how many times it's good to reinvent myself. I guess in the beginning I thought I was pretty confident in my style with my accessory designs. I didn't think because I sold actual artwork, knitting projects, etc. that I could move very much forward with my designs, but I'm starting to realize how far I can go and how much I can change my designs while still keeping them 'me'... if that makes sense. :D

WildWilderness & bustmybutton - I'm a big fan of "evolving" my business. Each day I try to focus on something new to create, re-examine, or improve - sometimes it's a small task like looking at my tags & titles and sometimes it's a big task like revamping my blog or researching and testing new packaging options. Sounds like you have the right idea!

Hi Just joined the team. I agree with several others that all the learning that consumes so much time, but worth it. My next challenge is learning blogging and other social networking. Your blog looks wonderful Katrina. How do you make time for it?

Thanks so much SewingGin! My blog has been a work in process, and not one that I started right away. If you could see what I started with, you'd realize that it's definitely come a long way! I wanted to focus first on my main Etsy business, then gradually added to my blog as I went. Of the big 3 social networking methods (blogging, Facebook, Twitter), I would recommend choosing one to start and then adding the others in as you're comfortable - best of luck with it though, it can a lot of fun to connect with customers & other sellers through any of those media :)
