204 admires, but 1 sale, what is wrong?

Hi,

I have more than 100 views per day. 204 admires. Listing admires are also a lot.

But only 1 sales since November.

People like my items as far as I know. Two times, it is included in FP treasury. But no sales after.

What may be the reason?

Your shop looks nice! And congrats on your 1st sale! I would suggest adding more items. People like choices and the more you have in your shop the longer people stay in it and the more chances they will find something they like and buy.

I'd also read the forums and blogs about self-critiquing your shop, titles, tags, and SEO.

First off: I LOVE YOUR SHOP.

Secondly, I agree with Jacque about adding more items for sure. But I recommend you edit your descriptions, they are all extremely short, so other than listing the size of the item, I'm not really told why I should buy it, or what it's good for. It might also help to list some items in spring time/summer colors as well :)

i would consider filling up your tags so that you have the full 13. play around with them a bit to see what works (ie if you have two very similar listings, have slightly different tags on each to see which gets more views). you might also consider having a picture of your brooches on a jacket/sweater so people can get a better idea of the size and scale without having to read the item description (some of us are lazy).

also, as Jacque suggested, adding more items won't hurt!

i love the little typewriters and remember seeing them on the FP :)

Your brooches are very unique and beautiful, however there is nothing in the description that makes me want to pay $40 for one.

I'm not saying they're not worth $40 as they are quite lovely. I just think you have to elaborate more on your craftsmanship and brooch details. Brag a little!

Also there is nothing in your shop header. So add a description about your shop and designs.

Remember search engines don't pick up photos only titles, tags, and item details. The more relevant information you have, the better.

Your shop has some wonderful items in it. I think the suggestions given above are very good. It's great that you are getting that many looks though considering how many jewelry shops there are on Etsy.

Definitely need better descriptions!! You don't show or tell the size of your brooches. Also, I think it seems a bit rude to say -Have questions, contact shop owner- that's just my opinion.

I have the same suggestion as everyone above...add more items has helped me..I only have 4 sales but after the 1st sale, I was stuck... as soon as I began adding more items, I got more views, more likes, and a couple of more sales! :)

More items helped my sales immensely too, you will show up more frequently in search results.

What else helped was using google's ad words keyword tool to figure out what the best search terms were for my products - and then doing as others mention, filling in the descriptions and shop announcement, but make sure to incorporate those keywords!

You can also use the keywords in your shop sections as well.

You're doing pretty well so far if I say so myself for a shop with little items! It seems having more items gives you much better chances of getting more sales and traffic. Good luck!

You need to convey that this is WEARABLE ART. That message has to go into your banner and shop announcement. I had to sit and figure out what you were selling for a second. That message needs to jump out to shoppers.

Up in your announcements say something like ORIGINAL AND UNUSUAL WEARABLE ART.

Your stuff is very original and unusual. Clever too. You also need to have more things listed.

I didn't read what others posted as influences my thought process. I liked your shop, you just need to find the right audience. Join in blogs that your focus audience would participate in, talk, talk, talk to people online.

I also think it can really help if people see how the pins look like on clothes,
It's hard to imagine how the size looks just from the number,
But once you see the clip on a shirt, its easy to imagine yourself having it!
