Just stopping by to see hows everyones 2014 is going so far?

Had 4 orders so far this year, which personally I'm pretty pleased with! I'm also coming up to my 1st etsy anniversary which is exciting.
And for off etsy life I have applied to university, and recently got my first offer from London UAL yippppeeee.
So far so good :)

Congrats on being successful so far! And good luck with your education. What will you be studying? I graduated college 6 years ago with a Bachelor's in Child Development. And now I'm a stay at home mom. Technically using my degree....but not getting paid for it. lol


I've had two orders so far this year, one last month and one today. I'm really hoping to start getting closer to 4 orders a month to help bring in some steadier, much needed extra income.

Congratulations, Maddie! Wish you continued success both on Etsy and personally. We, too, are happy with 2014 so far. Using the off-peak times to expand product lines, build inventory, etc. I recently finished grad school here in the States - wow, so glad it is over! Best of luck balancing work, family, and school - its doable, but challenging!

2014 has been good so far. There have been some interesting conversations which could mean much more business for me in the future, so that's exciting. At the current rate, I'm on target to earn more in less than 3 months this year than I did in my whole first year in business (this is year 3 for me). So I'm not complaining!

So far so good. I am happy January is my record month in sales, made 13 sales. We will see what rest of the year is going to be hopefully great.

My year has been pretty awesome! I beat my goals for last month and already had 2 sales for Feb! I want to sell 50 items in total for this month, but I know that is a huge goal. A big congrats to everyone working hard and making sales :)

2014 is going great!

Jan was wonderful. I did a lot of behind-the-scenes work while not doing a lot to my shop. My shop had a good amount of sales regardless.

Today my first sale for Feb came through...doing a little happy dance.

I have a really good feeling about this year. I feel so much more relaxed and optimistic already, ready to be compassionate to myself and not disappointment when I don't reach my goals.

I joined Etsy in January! I'm still trying to figure out how to get more people to see my shop. I've had 22 views so far, but no sales yet.

It was a slow start for me, but 2014 has picked up some momentum and I have had 11 sales thus far. Yay!

Heather, list lots and lots of items at least once a day if you can. Get on all the social media you can and promote yourself as well as building a relationship with your audience. Stay active in forums and read the seller handbook and etsy success newsletters all of these things provide useful tips.
Overall be patient and stick at it.

Heather, sheer number of listings is a place to start. If you think about it - if the Etsy market has 100 listings for a similar product and you have 1 item, you have a 1:100 chance of getting seen (or 1%). But, if you have 10 listings in the market, you have a 10% chance of being seen. Now, there are many other factors that come in to play....many, many factors. But increasing the number of your items is a start and continuous goal for all of us.

Secondly, I think getting some photos of babes wearing your items would be beneficial. Do an Etsy search for items similar to yours - which ones stand out to you? why? Strive to provide photos that people will click on first.

So far so good in my shop! I had 13 sales in January, which was the same amount as December. So far this month - which is only 3 days in - I've had 3 sales. My views for the past few days have been pretty high as well - comparable to the views I was getting during the holidays. Usually weekends are slow but this past weekend was good for my shop.

I've had a sale almost every day this year. I made 24 last month and 3 this month.

Have only made one sale so far, but I was happy, seeing as it was my first month on Etsy and didn't know what to expect.

Also had a few custom orders off of Etsy, so that helped!

Hi everyone! I had 8 etsy sales in January. And 2 outside of my etsy shop!
My ultimate goal would be15 for February!

This year has been pretty good! I did only start listing items January 6th. My first sale came two weeks later, and I had another sale this weekend for an item that had only been listed for 8 hours! I was awoken by that sweet "cha-ching" sound sunday morning, as I had forgotten to turn down the sound on my iPad. SO glad I left it on! It was such an exciting way to wake up!

I am hoping to get more sales this month!

My shop is doing great, 66 sales so far for 2014, PLUS I'm getting more items posted in my other site, once I get up to 400 listings, I plan on dedicating myself to my 3rd site and getting it running full-speed!

Off Etsy I'm enrolled in my MBA course, 2 classes down, only 9 more to go, and I got A's in both classes!!! :-D I plan on being an adjunct teacher after I recieve my MBA, but I just saw a job posting for full-time work, and the pay was enough to make me swoon! I'm wokring on my resume now to try for the job- I figure I could do the job for 4 or 5 years, buy a new car for myself and my mom the first year, and tuck the rest of the money away so I can buy my dream home and update it. After that, I can dedicate the rest of my time to my craft if I want to.... I have the feeling that 2014 is MY year!!!

Congratulations everyone! Looks like everyone is off to a wonderful start to 2014 :)

I've been accepted as 1 of 14 students in the jewellery and object design course at the design centre, enmore in Sydney. It was a pretty competitive interview/aptitude test selection process, so I'm super excited about the new skills I'll develop and the new connections I'll make in the jewellery world.

Hopefully this will mean more new items coming into my etsy shop soon!
