2012 Goals

Now that I think I know a 'little bit,' I've started focusing on how to use stats from Etsy, Google Analytics, FB, blog, etc to take a better approach to promoting. I'm also rethinking designs and how I offer my product.

I'm curious as to what others are setting as 2012 goals.

Re: 2012 Goals

To get at least 200 items in my shop.

To improve my photos.

To build up and promote my second, newer shop, which is wilting from neglect.

To finally start posting on my blog which has been sitting there for almost a year.

To make better use of Twitter, Facebook (yuck), Pinterest & Stumbleupon.

Phew!

Re: 2012 Goals

My aim is to have regular sales, 2 or 3 a week (I know, not much, but I would be very happy with that!)

Improve my photos, use pinterest and FB more.

Do things NOT in a rush.

If that leaves me any spare time, work on my second shop, which does not do anything due to lack of time.

Good thing - many others seem to have the same issues and try to solve them!

I wish us all good luck!

Re: 2012 Goals

I would like to have 200 items listed and get 100 sales. I've also been trying hard to study and interpret my Google analytics and shop stats so I can spend my advertising dollars more wisely.

Re: 2012 Goals

My goal is 200 sales. Don't know how realistic this is but I have been researching more and more on how to be successful on etsy and i have more views in the last month than all of the other months combined. So I have high hopes and am committed to dedicating more and more attention to my etsy shop!

My goal is to reach 100 sales by the end of 2012. I'll be spending my time next year focusing on advertising my shop so that I can reach a wider audience.

Re: 2012 Goals

My goal is to finally settle on a "niche" and work on the jewelry style I find most enjoyable to make and learn all I can about it - up to now I have been trying different styles to see which one I prefer.

To have 100 items in my jewelry shop

To start paying attention to my newer, second shop - which is also dying from neglect (I hear you rrizzart!)

To try to limit the time I spend at the computer and use that time to make jewelry and things I like

Re: 2012 Goals

Ah, yes, Jennifer. I forgot to add that goal. I would like to attend more bazaar sales or craft sales.

I just attended my first one last Sunday, got rained (poured) on. Thank goodness it was inside. Almost nobody came by. I did sell a couple of items, but had a great time talking with other vendors and learning a lot about set up, etc. Mostly, it was a great way to get a taste of what goes on at a craft show.

- I log in daily into Etsy
- I contribut with like to all the teams (exept this one, becouse I don't see a tred for it)

-I change banner according with holiday and post my current cupon on it

-At holidays I have SALE sections in my shop

Any suggestins for more or better things to achive my goals?

Re: 2012 Goals

My goal is to get more items up, to have at least 100. I plan on working on holiday items so I can have nice stock of them, as well as get more toys/dolls for kids. I will be happy with 2-4 sales a week.

I am very happy the way things are going now, but always looking for ways to improve. I am staying steadily busy with orders coming in every few days.

Re: 2012 Goals

Get back to mostly making what I love, hats. The other stuff is great and I do make sales from it but it's not my first love so I'll just save those items for custom requests.

Expand my line to include more men's styles. Work at least one to two season' ahead so I can be ready.

Find a toddler or two to photograph my hats in.

Re: 2012 Goals

After a month will be my 2nd year here so my goals for 3rd year are: put all my items in my shop (with nice photos, right tags&keywords and full description), to find my own style not only for items I make but for whole my shop, to make some kind of blog or just to put all news in my Facebook & Twitter accounts. At the end I would like to tell, that all mentioned will be done to reach at least 20 jewelry items and at least 10 silk ties in shop and 5 sales per year :)

Re: 2012 Goals

Moving this business from 'Start up' to 'Successful' so that it can become my sole income comfortably.

I'd like us to sell a minimum of 2 items a day.

Get enough inventory to schedule some large conventions to vend at.

Re: 2012 Goals

Consistently make 2 sales a day (minimum).

Find wholesale accounts.

Participate in more "handmade only" craft shows.

Be more active on FB. (This is the hardest part.)

Revamp all my photos.

Tweak my tags and descriptions.

Clear out old stock.

Develop more unique designs.

Be more active on my teams.

Advertise, advertise, advertise.

Re: 2012 Goals

For 2012, I will be reviewing my price points for knitwear. The fiber and yarn are decently priced.

I will do at least 2 weekends at the Renaissance Festival.
I would like to have at least 2 LYS carrying my yarn/fiber and at least 2 carrying the knitwear.

Advertise in at least one well circulated venue online (tested the water this year but the emag has a small audience) Need to research opportunities.

I reached my sales goal for 2011 so I am upping it to $750 for 2012.

Lastly increase my inventory by sections (hats, mitten, scarves) to at minimum 10 items per section up to 20 (wishful thinking). Balancing my stock levels has been a challenge this year between Etsy and the local opportunies but local does get my name out there.

Re: 2012 Goals

Set my goals for 2012 about a month ago all because I was bought out of product right before the holidays. Not a bad thing, but didn't have any reserve ready to go.

Each week I want to make 10 sets of potholders. 7 will be listed on Etsy and 3 will be held in reserve for weeks I'm busy or extras for shows and holidays.

By June I want to have my fall items completed and ready to be listed started in August. By July have my holiday items ready to be listed starting in September.

Sad I have a huge stack right now of Christmas/Holiday fabrics to make more potholders, but not enough time. The stress isn't worth it.
