The two things that I know I would like to get on top of: find the perfect alchemy between good product (production, cohesion, price point) and a good knowledge of technology (quality pictures, descriptions, marketing...)...

... speaking of which, I'm off to read up on SEO. I tried to figure it out (once) but I still don't get it. I'm really missing a trick here, I hope I'll make more sense of it through your top tip number 6 !!!

I had a pro do my SEO and I still don't understand it and it did nothing for my shop or maybe I did nothing for my shop. Since I don't understand SEO I can't tell if it was me that didn't put enough effort in fixing my shop or it just doesn't help.

Find a niche market that isn't glutted.

My mom recently sent your book as a gift and I've been following along. ..trying to do all the steps, chapter by chapter. ..leaving lots of notes and brainstorming in its margins. . .sticky notes and dogears as well. I AM seeing my blog and facebook page getting a bit more exposure after having put some of these tips to good use; the advice is very practical and hands on. ..so much information!

As for 2 things I would recommend, there are really so many!

The one thing that has helped me is reading the forums and any other blogs and sites to gather information, gain different perspectives, learn and grow — have an open mind and suck in all the info you can like a sponge!

And, like Eric said, nothing happens overnight so persistence is key. :)
