1 step forward - 2 steps back!

last day or so I have been designing some cute art to offer as art for children and to also convert them to useable digital format as clipart.
I had one very cute design finished and ready to be scanned when...i noticed that my gorgeous yet very cheeky son (2yrs) has decided to take to it with some extra paint flourishes.
AHHHH
Ok serves me right for leaving it all out but...now I need to do it all again.

So does this happen to you? have you gotten something almost finished and then something happens to put you back a few steps?

Oh no!!! and oh my goodness, this happens to me ALL the time!! My girls (3 and 1) will sometimes pull out an entire hat (I crochet baby hats) when I step away to do whatever. It is so frustrating sometimes!!

Ummm, yes. Actually i am my worst enemy! I resin my pieces then i can not help but touch them and it goes bad- real bad, sticky resin every where! I put a dome over top of the pieces that are curing to try to stop myself but it never fails, I lift the dome off and touch, lol!

Oh nooo! I'd be bummed, but then again, 2 yrs old, lol. I know EXACTLY how it is though! I paint as well, and once I was literally 5 minutes away from being done when I knocked my coffee all over my painting. It was watercolor, so no recovering from that accident! I was just a little mad at myself. Or I threw a tantrum. Whatever. ;) Luckily I'm not very good with watercolor in the first place, so I didn't ruin a masterpiece or anything. Still, I get attached to my work, and when it gets messed up I'm soo sad. Sorry this happened to you! I love your shop, really cool and imaginative work! :)

I don't have little ones, but my teen daughter has been known to borrow vintage hats and mysteriously leave them at a friends house. Not great when one sells and I spend hours ripping apart my shop looking for something that was left at "Suzies". Love em while they're little:)

Re: 1 step forward - 2 steps back!

I was crocheting a couple months ago and about halfway through the project my dog threw up on the yarn. Fortunately it wasn't one-of-a kind yarn so i cut off the project at that point and went out and bought more. Stupid dog, good thing I love her. lol

lol@Lisa kinda like when you get spoiled milk and can't help but smell it anyway - knowing it's going to be rank!

Rebecca - i am glad that my piece was quite simple and not one of my more detailed paintings - the pains with working with watercolour.

I have 5 kids so I should be used to this by now or...learnt and not left my art out
