I just sold a bracelet and the buyer loved it but, she'd rather have it in a different color. I would have to remake the bracelet to fit her liking. Should I supply her with a return label? I didn't get much profit off the sale , but, I want to do what is right. Thank you in advance for your response. Linda
I don´t think so. There was no defect with the product. She chose it and bought it. Now, she wants a different color. That is on her. Being willing to even accept something that has no defect in exchange is MORE than the right thing.
No, you do not. If she wants to return the item tell her, you will issue her a refund when you receive the item back. Then she can make the purchase for the color she wants as she will pay for the shipping back to her. If the item color is not in your store, you can make a reserved listing for it in your store with her name attached to it. She chose the color, and she should pay to have it exchanged. Make sure you put the specific information regarding returns or exchanges into your shop policies. That way they know what they are facing when purchasing from your store.
Check your policies, return at your own expense, unless it was my error, then I would upon receipt refund the buyer their costs to return only, and I have had to do this on a few occasions and the profit margin is gone and I eat the cost and hopefully learned from that transaction with my sewing patterns I just gift them the wrong pattern and send the correct one out as soon as possible same way I sent it in the original transaction
Hi Linda,
I would let her pay the return postage as it's her choice to change her mind about the color. If the cause for the return is not under the seller s control, the buyer can pay the postage. That's only fair.

Do not pay for return shipping.
Thanks everyone for your responses! But, since then, my seller has decided to keep her bracelet because she got so many compliments on it! Yay! Now she wants me to make her another one in a different color. Yay again!
But thanks again because next time I will know what to do! Sincerely, Linda
