Just joined the team and couldn't find an intro thread easily so.... I'm starting one! Here, please share: your name, your store's name, your reddit username, your favorite subreddits, and anything else. :)

fav subreds: I'm still getting used to the reddit system, and finding the good stuff. My husband is jamuraa on reddit, and he's more active, and keeps finding cool Doctor Who stuff for our fan meetup on there.

In fact, what sub-reddits do you all recommend I follow? I'm looking for stuff that's a)interesting b)fun and c)relevant to me (so, for example, parenting stuff would be out - but stuff about perfume, Doctor Who or herb gardening would be great.)

Hey Diana! There's actually a subreddit r/gardening (or maybe it's r/garden?) that the boy loves greatly.

And I totally understand about keeping your last name... believe me, it was a really difficult decision I made to change mine (I decided for a slew of reasons, mostly because there's a strong, cohesive identity around Dooley whereas there isn't an identity around Williams, and his mom is my role model). But still, it's a decision with which I'm still coping -- in grad school, the default assumption is that someone keeps their own last name, so I'm constantly put on defense... and hey! Ain't no one callin' me Mrs.! ...but I digress. :)

Hey! My name is Katrina, and my reddit handle is flippinkittin. As for subreddits I love r/tonightdinner, aww, TIL, YSK, documentaries, offbeat, lgbt, running, WTF_Florida, standupcomedy, inglip.

As my store name (celticknotjeweler) will tell you I make celtic knot jewelery. Mostly rings in insanely intricate custom designs. I prefer working with silver, but most of my orders are in gold. I also occasionally do platinum.

I don't really comment much... but mostly cuz most of my browsing is in fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu, where most comments are just rage faces anyway, haha. But I was proud to one day share a picture of something I made, and I got close to 200 karma. heh, there's my reddit accomplishment!
