 "Following" typically means the person is following the thread to get an answer to the original person's question. In this case to figure out what this 'team' is suppose to do. I'm curious as well since I haven't actually applied for this team.

Based on the thread and the "link" I received with the msg this is a "sales call".  I was kind of suspicious when I did not get this message in my regular etsy mail only my "associated" email account. - Any other thoughts?

I'm confused too with this message.. it's a real site, but I see that 99% of the people are overseas (not that there is anything wrong with that) but not sure if this is real or not... and if it is real, has anyone used them?

This is obviously some sort of scam/spam/sell.

1-the "captain" doesnt even have a profile picture,,, cant be that engaged in etsy to not have bothered to put one up

2- their user name is XZXZ#$^^, or there abouts. No real etsy user would have a nonsensical user name

3- anyone seriously interested in "community" and supporting artists/makers would be a bit more engaged and have some good content and a story to tell.

for godssakes... unless someone [from etsy, perhaps?] can please share one good reason for those of us who are gathered here by scam... [i think everyone here is fab except the douche [apologize, possibly very fine person] who initiated this.

it's like invited to a haunted house in a bad movie only we're not the actors being paid to get knocked off one by one.

i'll follow up w/etsy in the meantime. this is ridiculous.
