I am a newbie to social media. As you can see, I am only using FB currently but would like to include others. I think my dilemma is what do I post/tweet about that would be of interest to readers that would prompt them to repost/like etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think I read somewhere here on etsy that social media could be more geared to behind the scenes, as it were. I just post images and stuff of new products I'm working on and I release new products, coupon codes and announce promos. I'm also thinking of doing a giveaway. Not sure how that would be done but I'd like to try it.

I've been thinking about a giveaway sweepstakes, too. So far, I'm hinging it on getting 1k likes to my post about it. I renew the post every so often to keep it visible. So far, I'm up to 6 likes... I need to renew it again. My computer is just so laggy right now...

Hey Shannon, you should make a business page separate from your personal fb page. Its easier to manage and you can even do advertising promotions with Fb advertisements.

This fb actually started out as my business page but I noticed I started getting more attention when I made it personal. I just don't know how to make an interesting business page yet. Still learning

Ok. I think when persons have to like the page as opposed to adding you as a friend that gives it a more business feel. Have you seen my page? It isn't perfect but I think you'll get the idea.
