Is anyone else having a lot of customers request that you send the file some other way other than dropbox? I have only ever used dropbox and its never been an issue until this month.
Are you able to use the instant download feature on Etsy, or are your files too large? I know some people don't like using things the aren't used to, but I think Dropbox is easy enough, and very safe so I'm not sure why people would object.
There's also sendthisfile.com and transferbigfiles.com. Both have a free option for sending files (up to 20 megabytes, I think). I've used those, but the listings will expire in 5 days. They do send email reminders to the recipients when they send the link though.
There is also wetransfer.com where you can send up to 2G and you can opt to receive a confirmation when the link has been downloaded! The link also expires within 5 days, which i find to be a good thing!
I have always used dropbox for freebies/gifts to my customers and I have never had any complaints.
I would ask them to suggest what other file sharing client they would like to use and then decide..or you can email them the files (in several emails if they don' mind)
