I would be disappointed if this team folds. As collaborators on Etsy, we need to help each other.

Thought I had shared our collaboration with the team, please forgive if I already posted.

Joyce of Aussieyarning.Etsy.com and I, QuiltMoxie.Etsy.com collaborated a couple of months ago and it took a while to figure out how to post our collaborative items on Etsy.

Our two Etsy shops have collaborated and come up with a unique item to show off both of our shops.

Quiltmoxie.Etsy.com produces Happy Quilterly Project Bags and more and Aussieyarning.Etsy.com produces resin Stitch Markers, Zipper Pulls and more to add sparkle to your crafting projects.

Our collaborative Stitch Markers, Zipper Pulls etc. complement the line of Project Bags.

In order to post these collaborative handmade items into the QuiltMoxie Etsy shop following the Etsy guidelines, QuiltMoxie had to have Etsy approve Aussieyarning as a Manufacturer.

I submitted the application on May 22 and on June 12 was approved. Yippee !!!

I'm on too many teams so I'm trying to pare down to 1-2 special interest and 1-2 promo. This is to say, I agree with Andreea-Irina Moisă's assessment of the activity.

Happy to share.

Would like to add that I thought it would have been a bit easier to do. For example, it took a while and lots digging around the internet to determine that Etsy had to approve the collaboration in order to meet with the Etsy guidelines.

Once the application was submitted it felt like it might have fallen through the cracks and then poof... 21 days later, it was approved.

Don't know if this is the place to suggest this, but here goes anyway.

I belong to another Etsy team that is all about collaborations and they have about half as many members as this team.

What about merging into one? Hope I am not overstepping here.

Erica- That seems like a good idea; time is at a premium for most people. You can definitely join too many teams.

I'm sorry I haven't been on for a while. I've had major internet problems and just got it fixed this week.

I collaborate with Leoslovelytreasures (Sara Emisch). She had posted when this team was first suggested that she didn't know who would be good to work with her as her items were hand knitted baby items. My shop has handmade greeting cards, wall art, mini-photo albums and journals. I immediately contacted and Sara and we began to brain storm. We now link an item to the other's shop. With my baby cards/announcements/invitations, I post a link at the end of the description to a baby item in Sara's shop. I do that with several different items so she gets good coverage with this method. She links to my shop with several of her items. We have been pleased with this process. At first we said, "within three months if either one is unhappy with the collaboration, they are free to drop out:". At that point we both were very happy with it. That was April. We'll be looking at the process again in September. So far no complaints from either of us. I would say constant communication is a key to any collaboration.

As for keeping this team or combining with another, I'll do whatever our leaders think best. Thanks!
