Ideas For Team Blog

Hi everyone!

As you may know, Susan, our team captain, is working on creating a team blog. Here we hope to promote our shops as well as find more shops to collaborate with!

We would love to hear any ideas that you have for the blog.

Here are the ideas I've come up with so far:

- Post team treasuries. Since we already have members making team treasuries we will be able to feature them on the blog! We can also hold treasury contents and the winners will be featured.

- Post stories about the collaborations that start, either through the group or elsewhere

- Post different things team members are up to or how they started their shop. We could do a series featuring each team member, where they answer a series of questions

- Post about team members' creative process and areas. This would also be a good way for people to get material for their About pages!

- Have an About page with either leaders featured or each member featured

- Include craft tutorials or recipes so people outside of our team have a reason to come check it out

- Post gift guides for various holidays

That's all I have for now. What else can everyone come up with? There are no bad ideas! :)

Would anyone be interested in doing a craft tutorial on the blog?I really love that idea and would love to include regular tutorials.

Purvi - Thanks.That sounds wonderful. Krista has offered to do a tutorial on button art. So we`ll probably start with her tutorial. Your skincare recipes can be next.

Purvi - Have you thought of developing a natural make up line(lipstick, mascara etc)?Maybe collaborate with someone who makes cosmetics and come up with a natural cosmetics product together. That way you each have a role , You can`t both sell the same product though. Do you have hair care products-I can`t remember seeing them there?
Just a thought.

Purvi- Just another idea- What about a design or decal incorporated on your soap ?

Hey Susan! Purvi and I were actually discussing ideas on how to join together on that. We are not totally sure what we can and cannot do still.

She was thinking to have me create designs for bridal showers, weddings baby showers...etc...for her soaps. What do you think about this. Is this something Etsy will let us join together on?

I agree with Nina. We have discussed few ideas which is a combined creation. Nina doesn't have those products on her shop yet and we discussed creating together to offer with my product. I believe that was my understanding of collaboration. Where two expertise come together and create something new together and list them.

Purvi and Nina- Only one way to find out. I think it should be fine, but you need to check with Etsy.

Hi everybody, I think this is a great idea! Currently I am refreshing my own blog and I could also promote this group! Plus, I am planning to make some tutorials, for start, about Crochet Flowers. I would gladly offer them for the group's blog also if you find it useful.

Andreea - Promoting this group on your blog would be wonderful. If you`re on any other social media sites . facebook. twitter. etc please promote there too. This is something I`m asking all members to do. The more people we have in the team the more opportunities for collaborating with like minded sellers.
The crochet flowers tutorial idea is great. Two other members have offered to do craft tutorials , one of our lesders. Krista is starting with button art. Another member is doing DIY skin care recipes. So you can be third with your crocheted flowers.
The blog will be ready early this week.

Ok Susan, I will start with my tutorials also and by the end of the week I should have some. My main problem is lightning for photos because I come back to work when the bright natural light is already gone, so usually I take photos during weekend. But I will manage somehow to have great results during the week also :)

I will promote this group wherever I can!

We will be having other posts in between tutorials. We`ll probably post twice weekly. So you`ll have plenty of time to prepare.
