I like this idea, but maybe with just a general vintage collaborators topic.

Few Ideas I have are:

(1) Creating gift baskets with products which are complimenting each other for special events like anniversary gift, birthday gift, mother's day gift, etc etc
(2) We can also work with 1-2 shops at a time and mix and match the products and list them as a set.

The problem would be shipping. If we agree on creating gift basket then the shop who's listing the set has to have the products on hand so that if it sells then all the items can ship together.

I think it would be good idea to team up with few shops and figure out how to mix and match products and list them. I believe one of the etsy rule is only one shop can list that product to avoid the traffic confusion.

Would like to hear more ideas and suggestions.

Since my products are all bath and beauty, it can pair up with lot of other products.

Purvi - I`m not sure if that is more like cross promoting.
Yes, I believe Etsy does have that rule.
I`ll need to check with administration to see if this is possible.
But if we can work out a way to make this work it sounds great.

Hi everyone. I'm so glad to be a part of the team. I really like the idea of creating gift baskets with several members' products. I have been working on creating tea towels with lino cut stamps. I've also been working on glitter mugs, jars, and coasters. I was hoping to put some of these things together and sell them as gift sets for weddings or housewarmings, etc.

Perhaps we could include knitted/crocheted dish scrubbers or something similar from shops who specialize in knitting and crochet. Also recipe cards from the stationery shop might be nice.

It's funny that collaboration is suddenly such a hot topic! I just wrote a blog post about it and then the post appeared on Etsy like the same day! I am just trying to get an idea what you would consider collaboration. In my case I have found a friend locally who is a lamp work bead artist and I am a wire worker, chain mailler. I was looking for someone like her and she was looking for someone like me. The same could easily work with fellow Etsy artists! It is a very beneficial arrangement as it is in my best interest to let customers know the beads I incorporate in my pieces are handcrafted locally. She promotes my site and I promote hers. That is my experience with collaboration and I applaud your efforts to get others together in the same way!

Erin - I think for things like gift baskets to work, you would have to live in the same area.
