i'm a new blogger

so i started my first every blogging site for my etsy shop. I heard that it's a good way to advertise and keep people up to date on your shop. So far I have 9 followers. I have had a hard time writing something every day. Is it really important to blog everyday and does it always have to be about my shop? I was also thinking to get more people following my blog to run a special or lottery to get 50% off in my shop off one item? What do you experience bloggers think?

Thanks for the feedback team! Have a good week.

Re: i'm a new blogger

Most people suggest mixing personal and business topics because it keeps your readers interested. They want to get to know YOU, not just your business.

You don't have to blog every day but the more you blog, the more readers you will have. A lot of people post 3 times a weeks and do just fine. I find that making a schedule or list of posts I want to do helps me a lot.

Having an incentive for your followers is a FANTASTIC idea. I have a giveaway on my blog and not only did it bring me 40 new followers, it also brought 3 sales!

Be sure to post a link to your blog! We'd love to see it! And check out our team blog for great blogging tips and tutorials: http://www.etsyblogteam.com

Learn to use your scheduler - it lets you write a lot when you're inspired and spread them out.

I've got a few posts on beating writer's block that might give you some ideas too
