Wordpress Slow?!

I am having a hard time responding to comments and it takes forever for the drop down menus to appear. Is this a Wordpress issue this week?

I have found Etsy to be fast but I'll check my connection and virus scan.

In the meantime thanks for still reading and commenting on my blog. I will eventually respond to your comments.

I am not having this problem with Etsy so I don't think it's my computer or my connection. But I am doing a scan.

I did find reading and commenting on Blogger posts to be very slow too...before I even tried to post with my wordpress id.

I went to one Blogger post today and abandoned commenting. I have a self-hosted Wordpress.org blog, so my speed is running off my own host. However, like I said, the blogger site was running really really slow... not sure what could be going on, though.

You are a help! At least I know blogger is running slow for others too. It makes it hard to post on other people's blogs.

I wonder if Wordpress.com uses a Java or Flash that's newer than what Etsy uses? Cause Etsy is lightning fast for me.

Anyone know?
