Why don’t you want free money?

Can someone explain to me why after a week, I still have $170 worth of Amazon gift cards to give away that no one will take?

They are only available to our team, and no one else can get them but you!!! So far there have been 3 entries, those 3 are guaranteed a $10 amazon gift card, so are the next 7.

Then they will all be entered to win the final $100.

If you are choosing not to participate, can you share feedback as to why? Feedback is very helpful.

To be perfectly honest (and this is just my opinion), I just found out about this giveaway and it sorta seems like way too many things to do in order to enter. I admit that I have a super short attention span and if it's not a simple 1 or 2 step process, you lost me.

But as of my first glance? Um, any giveaway that has to provide step-by-step diagrams through the instructions... i tend to stay away from. It's a bit over the top. lol

Quite the same reason like pulpsushi: it is way too much stuff to do for $10. Maybe we are getting lazier or maybe there is more supply than demand?

By the way, my experience from organizing giveaways is that the higher the prize value, the more people are willing to follow requirements.

It seemed exciting but there was way too much to read and my short attention span got the better of me :( After seeing this thread...I've gone back to try again...its a bit of a long story signed up for a Stylish Home account but it feels like you need to be quite committed to creating an idea file.

I signed up and submitted a style file. But l do agree it was a lot of work and with the site being new i felt like there photos and items were limited. Maybe it was just me. I found towards the end it was a little pushed trying to find things that really fit my style. But i can see its potential!

Mitch, I signed up. BUT the website is always down (I tried 3x to create an idea file, each time it snagged). I finally just set it aside, intending to go back, but never did. I'll try again....

Wow Just went back to the site to play around a little more and found the Upload button. Nope i don't feel like a dork at all. Shesh this is the second time in a week muliti tasking has turned right around a bit me in the bumm.
Now i can really see me getting hooked to this site! just what i need another time waster! ;)

This is awesome feedback. The steps to enter were decided by Stylish home, they liked our team because we have blogs and we are pretty large.

While I do not get anything from you signing up, I do jump on every opportunity to promote our team and your blogs.

This is their first giveaway like this, so feedback is just as important as entries, I really appreciate you all participating in providing feedback on this even if you are not participating in the giveaway itself.

I will pass along all of these results to my contact at stylish home. One day when idea files. are the latest viral online craze, you will all be able to say that you helped :)

It's confusing. To the average person, they wouldn't know what to do. It's too content specific.

have you promoted it elsewhere, there are a bunch of giveaway blogs for you to post your giveaways at that gain traffic.

I just entered - I thought it was pretty fun myself. I can always go back and make new idea files later - I just picked a room I liked, some products I liked, and some colors I liked. LOL

We havent promoted it elsewhere only because it is specific to our team, only EBT members can enter.

That said, anyone at anytime can join our team, as membership is not moderated.

Aquariann - how did you get your widget to display? I entered the code in html and it just wouldn't show in my post. It works fine (most of the time) in my side bar.

All right! I got through all the steps! But that widget is way too big and made a mess of my blog, so I added it to a separate page.

I mentioned to Stylish Home that it would be nice to have different size or a smaller widget. I got an answer back that they would work on it and I am entered into the contest.
