Where do YOU find Blog Hops/ Link Parties?

I am so clueless about Blog Hops/Link Parties. I've only just recently heard of them and I still don't quite understand them. Do you basically just post your link to a blog?

a lot of times link ups are for specific things... like Crafty Linkups, DIY Linkups, Recycle Linkups, etc...

It's common link up etiquette to not link your direct blog url.. but the post url that relates to the link party.

I have just started my own blog hop at http://hollybobb.blogspot.com/2011/04/treasury-tuesday-blog-hop.html It's aimed at treasuries, so we'll see how many people join it. I generally just do a hunt on google for an appropriate blog hop though.
