What is the point of having a blog team that can't post live links???

I am so disgusted that they have chosen to make yet another change to make Etsy just that more difficult to use. I even used a link converter and only have fora links work not team links. Am I supposed to cut and paste 30+ links everyday to read team members blogs??? Come on Etsy ........is there anyone with actual business experience running this company?

The more live links... the bigger of a chance someone leaves the etsy site... and doesn't return quick enough for them I guess.

Its a pain in the ass. theres tons of threads about it in the bugs and ideas and site help section too.
It's funny, they really refuse to fix things that are broken, but take away features people need.

I agree ....I am so disgusted......can they make things any harder? Such a simple idea and they've just buried it alive ... they take away what works and install things to block success....all to go public? There will be nothing left!

I agree. I read about this earlier today and the first thing I thought of was our blog posts and links.
I think I could almost bite a nail in half today. Maybe a couple.

Found the below in the forums....I installed this (for Firefox) and I just double click the link and it opens in a new tab. Sweet!

Etsy is banning hyperlinks, so here are useful extensions:

I have IE and did this - my install only works in the reg fora not teams : (

If I upload Firefox I can't edit my blog the same way which means I have to go in and out of IE and FireFox - all to use links????

Good Grief there are only so many hours in the day!

How many things have I already had to change to get Etsy to work for me?

I've got 4 kids and a home based business and blog I am not going in and out of freaking IE and Firefox too!

Sorry offthefountain this was not ment for you just a general rant - why can't they just make this site user friendly - what's next????

i know in firefox.. sometimes certain pictures don't show up on some blog posts.. so i always have IE and Firefox up.
I use firefox for everything, but on those sites that i know there are suppose to be pics (like for tutorials) that aren't showing up.. i'll quickly cut and paste into IE.

i know it seems like a pain. but i havn't found it to be a huge issue switching back and forth. maybe just download and use firefox on a normal basis.. and open IE when youre working and editing blog posts?

i get etsy's decision from a business perspective. a lot of Etsy Shops have other shops on Ebay and on there own personal websites. So if they have live links to those places (which a lot do) then Etsy is afraid they'll lose that sale. The seller wouldn't.. but etsy wouldn't get to charge there fees if the buyer bought from the website or Ebay.

it's very inconvenient for us. i like the idea of a FB page.. but not sure i'd view it as much as i do the team forum. like you said.. there is only so much time in the day =/

But what is ridiculous is there are TONS of resellers - quite a long time ago I bought something from one that sent the spam directly to my email once I had paid through paypal. What's the difference??? They drive people out of my store with their circles now I can't even promote. I just spoke to 2 friends who are closing their shops today - they are done with all this nonsense.

I don't want to open 2 browsers I just want this to work the way it should. I have nothing since they shut down the reg fora - this is just like one more slap in the face.

Sorry for the rant Adelyn I am just so tired of coming here and you never know what the hell they are going to be up to : ( - nothing to do with you -.but now if every one can go around this anyway what's the point???
