What do you like to read on blogs?

I am slowly reinvigorating my blog, and one of the things that means for me is blogging more consistently. I was doing good for about 6 weeks! I hit a roadblock when my day job got super busy, and I realized to blog consistently, I need to blog quickly.

So... I'm making a list of potential blog topics, and I need your help! I have several ideas already for projects I'm working on, etc, but what kinds of things are you interested in reading about? If they fit into the theme I'm working on, I'd love to add your ideas to my list!

Right now, I'm considering adding the occasional family recipe, more work-in-process projects, and some of my photography, as it gets warm enough to go outside!

I'm feeling pretty eclectic, so any ideas/interests you have are welcome!

I like to know the story of the product/item/subject matter of the blog. (In my case, it's the toys I make, mend and otherwise create.) Also love to read new recipes - and even try some out, if they're not too exotic! All illustrated with lots of pics! Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply! Do you like craft tutorials about anything? (I mean, would it be weird if I usually make jewelry, but I have a tutorial about a different kind of craft?)

I'm definitely going to get more pictures on! That one reason I'm behind on blogging, because I haven't had time to photograph my projects!

I do that all the time. I don't have much decoupage in my other shop anymore, but posted just today a tutorial for a decoupaged map where you keep track of all the places you and your love have been together.

So in other words, DO IT! In fact, if you sell jewelry, I wouldn't do jewelry tutorials...why teach your customers how to make your product? You could do a general overview of what goes into each product (a sort of "making of" post) so they know just how much effort it takes.

i like reading about lots of things - i love seeing beautiful pictures too...
i like inspiring blog posts, food blog posts, fashion, vintage, and creative posts too...

I love reading lifestyle and family blogs. The humor of raising children never fails for me, either. Practically, I enjoy seeing new recipes, craft projects I can actually do, and home and garden diy.

Lifestyle Blog sounds just the direction I want to go! I really want to walk the fine line of having it fun and sharing about the things I do without over-sharing, you know?

I don't have kids, but maybe a few cute dog stories??
