What do you do...?

What do you when you aren't sure what to blog about? Do you plan out several ideas for different blogs so that you'll always have something?

I just started my blog last month. I only have a few posts. But I have really enjoyed it so far. What I am trying to do now is be more consistent in my blogging. I'm just not sure how to consistently have ideas for blogging. Especially since I am afraid if I do not have a specific idea then I will just start rambling...

So what do you do...when you aren't sure what to write?...to write consistently? ... not ramble?

It's hard! Every time I think of a blog post idea I write it down. Otherwise when the time comes to actually write I can't remember any of my ideas!

I think it helps to have weekly "themed posts"...like today I'm starting a Wish List Wednesday post. So every Wednesday I will already know what my theme is going to be and have something to work with.

I usually just blog about whatever pops in my head that day. I've tried to make a routine but then I feel pressure to complete a blog post. If I'm not in the mood for blogging I'll go a few days without blogging. I think the best thing is to find what works best for you.

I read many, many blogs and get ideas from them. I also keep a running list of ideas on my computer so it's easy to find and I can jot list while reading or searching the net. The weekly theme just doesn't work very well for me, but I'm so unconventional in my work and writing that I'm not surprised. Oh well!

Mostly just find things that YOU like to think and write about. There are no hard and fast rules (thank goodness) but there are grammatical rules....please take advantage of those. :-)
