What do you consider a good amount of traffic for your blog?

What do you consider a good amount of traffic for your blog? I've recently been giving my blog a push and have been getting 400+ unique visitors a day. Is this decent for a wee little business blog? I'd love to see more traffic in the long run, but right now I'm kind of psyched. Now if I could only drive that kind of traffic to my shop everyday.

That sounds good to me, I'm more than happy with around 100 per day to my blog and about 400 to etsy. Sounds like we've flipped our hits :)

I don't look at the numbers very often, I think as long as you have active, engaged customers/readers with all your social media/marketing you're doing well.

Wow, that sounds great! I don't get nearly that many, but generally I am happy when today's views are more than yesterday's views! I just eye my own statistics on Google Analytics (if you're not set up already, check out my post on http://howsweeteritis.blogspot.com/2011/01/how-to-use-google-analytics-for-your.html) and see if the bounce rate is decreasing and the visits are increasing. Also, I like seeing the number of followers go up, of course! =)

I have had my google analytics set up for over a year now for bot my etsy and my blog.. I constantly get e-mails about visits to my etsy store, but have only ever gotten "one visit" to my blog.. which I find unbelievable because I have been getting more and more followers... weird right?

WearTheCanvas, it's possible that your analytics are set up incorrectly for your blog. I messed mine up the first time, too, though I don't remember exactly what I did wrong. Try doing it again and see if the numbers improve.

I am working my tail off and I just can't seem to 'tip' my blog, but it is building at about 100-150 /day.

Ha! I also wish I can get 100 visits a day but I like what Cubits says about having active and engaging readers - it's good to have that feedback.

omg 400 is awesome! how do you do it?? i signed up with mom blog network and blogher like you had suggested in another post but need to learn how to navigate them. i get like 5 views a day so let me know what i can do, please!

I've been submitting blog posts to craftgawker, isharecrafts and similar sites as well as pinterest. I also blog on kaboodle and tumblr and link back to my main blog - same for blogher. Stumble upon as well. And I post to my personal and fan pages on facebook. I tweet. I participate in the blog teams here on etsy.

Good luck aquariann. There are days recently I've seen as many as 600 unique visitors or more because of these new traffic sources. Definitely worth trying!

I topped over 800 unique visitors for Tuesday. I'm super excited. I'm running a new contest on my blog starting tomorrow so I'm hoping I can keep up the trend. It's really exciting to watch the numbers rise. I wish I could do the same for my shop, but since my blog has links to my shop I'm hoping it will pay off for my shop in the long run as well.
