Tips on having a successful giveaway?

Hi guys! Just looking for a piece of new advice on having a successful giveaway.

I use Twitter, Facebook, etsygiveaways.blogspot.com, Etsy Teams.....

But what else? What do you to to create hype and promote to get as many views as possible?

Here is the last giveaway I did: http://julieannart.blogspot.com/2011/04/very-special-group-giveaway.html....I'm looking to do better on the next one!

I've never done a giveaway and would appreciate any advice you could give. How did etsygiveaways.blogspot.com work for you??

Entering my giveaway on the Etsy Giveaways blog helped a TON. I totally recommend that. I don't know for sure how many entries came from the site, but I know from my Google Analytics that I at least got a lot of views that way.
