Template Help!

I am trying to revamp my blog and it's turning into a nightmare. I saved the draft a couple of times but where it saves I have no clue. Once I load a new template I end up having to reload the original and fix everything all from scratch again because I can't find the saved file. I hate the layout of the column format. I want it to be like most of you all have with the one scrolling page so you can see everything at once. I'm afraid at first glance with the way it's laid out people won't stay to read. It's not inviting.

I've tried btemplates.com. I'll use kanelstrands as an example of what I want. http://blog.kanelstrand.com/. I assume this a two column fixed? Where does one go about getting the proper templates? I've tried six now and sure it looks good in the demo and then I load it and end up with a bunch of stuff not working right or formatting getting all screwed up or tabs that you can't remove that have nothing to do with content or it generally just looks bad. I want something that will be clean and easy to read. I'm sorry for all the questions. I am still a blogger fetus.

Here is my blog. Please help! http://bellinacreations.blogspot.com/

Re: Template Help!

Hi,
Click on Design in your upper right corner.
When that page comes up, look at the upper left side and click on Template Designer.
There is a lot you can doe in there. Play around with it. You can save all the changes and they go right to your blog.
Hope this helps.

Re: Template Help!

So it's better to just do your own template then?

Re: Template Help!

Hi,

Are you expanding your template widgets ?
You need to check a small box on top right when you access your HTML.
Scrolling you'll see the size of each column, then it's a matter of working those pixles.

I have to go eat now - I'm already late - but I can try to help you tomorow.
Just send me a message.
