Please help me figure this out!

I am fairly new to blogging and would like to comment back when followers comment on a blog post of mine. I can't seem to figure out how to do this! When I click on the comments section under my post, see the comments and then see a box to comment, once I fill it out and click post it never shows up anywhere! Please teach me how to do this or let me know what I may be doing wrong! Thanks so much!!

Hi,

I suppose that you're logged in when you answer ?
Also scroll down to see if you need to enter a captcha, in case you activated that option.
Sometimes it's needed to click Post Comment more than once until the log in or captcha show up.

Just an advice.
Log in on your own blog before starting commenting on other blogs.
This way you know that you're introducing your password on a secured blog and not a phishing one.
Either that or at first enter a false password.

Of course that when I know the blog, then there's not problem.

I've heard a lot of other people have this same problem. I've always been ale to comment on my own blog, so I'm not sure why other's can't on theirs. Maybe make sure you are signed in as PP said.

I tried it several times again and still can't. It is so frustrating. I finally went to google help and actually saw a post from someone with the exact same problem. I am anxious to see what the replies are. Thanks for your help!

So strange- one "wont hurt" fix you can try is clearing your browser's cache ( google how to do it with your particular browser, Internet explorer, firefox, safari, etc)

I'm bringing this back to the top because I still haven't gotten this to work. The person who also posted it on Google help has not gotten an answer either. I really want to be able to post a comment when someone posts a comment on my blog and I just can't figure it out! I click comment, I see the comment box, I type my comment, hit post, it asks me to sign in even though I am already signed in, I do, I type the "secret word", hit post and it takes me right back to the sign in area like I haven't signed in. What am I doing wrong?? This is so very frustrating!!

I am having the exact same problem! I also went to google help and found others with the problem but no answers. I comment with the name/url option but my avatar doesnt show up and it takes a few tries on my blog and on others blogs. If you do find an answer please share back on this post. I will do the same!

All I had to do was uncheck "remember me". I had also done some research today and evidently this has been a HUGE problem and so frustrating for many, many, bloggers. Thanks the inspired lens!!
