Pinterest is awesome for bloggers?

I know I'm not the only one addicted to Pinterest...but I don't really pin my own blog posts {besides maybe one or two here and there}. It is such a great way to get your blog out there by having your posts pinned. One of my back to school tutorials got a huge amount of pins and I gained lots of new followers from it!

So, how do you get your blog posts pinned besides by chance? I have seen posts here about it and I also have a Pinning Linky Party over on my blog every Saturday. Neither get a lot of responses and I don't know why no one wants their posts to be pinned. It can only help. It's like free advertising!

Do you all think Pinterest is helpful for gaining new followers?

This team hosts a weekly thread about pinning others blogs. This may help too. Yes wehn you pin it others can see it, but when soomeone else pins it you get even more credibility. I do not use pinterest, but I have seen several photos from my blog there. I would recommend watching your blog stats if you really want to see if it makes a difference in your readership numbers.
