Offering Advertising?

When did you start to offer advertising? Obviously it only benefits sponsors if you have a certain amount of traffic. When did you start?

I offer it now for free. I don't feel like I'll ever get to the point of offering paid sponsorship..but maybe in a few years.

When I paid for ads, I look for blogs that blog consistently, have a large following (blog follow, facebook, twitter, etc) and get a lot of feedback on their posts. They also need to have a well designed website/blog. I also take into account what I get for what price and of course if they blog to my target audience.

I started Project Wonderful when I was only getting a dozen or so visitors a day! You may only get paid a few pennies a day at first, but it adds up. Here's my experience with it ~

I follow tons of blogs that offer sponsorships on their blog for certain prices.Most have thousands of followers, as well as hundreds to thousands of hits a day. I have come across some blog which are small like mine that also offer advertising, and have people advertise on it. I personally feel like I couldn't offer a guarantee of hits to their site or anything like that at this point though. So, I have not opened any kind of advertising. I've also come across tons of blogs that have giveaways for monthly sponsorship deals, and have been fortunate enough to win twice.
