Need help copying and pasting from word to blogger

is there a trick to this? i like to write in word, then copy and paste my blog post. i was able to do it the first time, no problem. second time it took me about 10 tries doing the same control V, then for some reason it worked. third time i just about threw the computer out the window, and finally ended up retyping the entire post. what am i doing wrong? i use a control v to copy from word, then control v in my post box. i'd really appreciate any help.

To copy, you must use Control + C, then to paste use Control + V. It should work fine now =)

Yes, Control+C to copy, Control+V to paste. Sometimes the format comes out funny when I copy from MS Word. So, if it doesn't work the first time, I open notepad, copy from Word to Notepad (which is plain text) then copy from Notepad to Blogger - put in some formatting (line spaces) and then add the pictures and links, etc.

I usually write in word and copy paste, I was able to today without an issue, if it isnt working well, you can always try the old right click copy, right click paste.

I agree with faircardmaker. You may not notice but copying and pasting from MS Word will bring formatting with it. If you paste to Notepad first, it will prevent that.

And you can always highlight the text, right click and click copy instead of using the keyboard shortcut.

Hi,

I also don't get along with that :-)
It's mostly because of spaces between paragraphs, I bet, isn't it ?
That's why when I make an interview with an artist, I ask for the answers to be written on the reply.

Now, if you toggle from Compose to HTML on your post window you'll see the <p>s. Each one is a space between lines. Remove until you get one one.

Try writing your post with HTML on.
I don't like doing this, but sometimes I have to.

I agree with those who said to copy your Word document into Notepad. Word has the document formatting embedded into it. Notepad on the other hand has no formatting and will easily copy your post. Like you I like to use Word but over the years I've just learned to use plain text when copying anything into html. You can either use the control keys or just a plain copy and paste.
