Labels?

What are the labels Im seeing at the bottom of some peoples blog posts.?
Are they kind of like tags to get people to your blog?

How do they work? How do you add that to your posts?


Very new to blogging so just trying to learn all the tricks ;) thnx

They are sort of like tags. I use them more as a way to make pages.

My take on them are is that they are category filters. When I go to somone's blog, maybe I want to see all the tutorials. Or maybe I want to see all the business posts or all the treasury posts.

Click on a label and blogger will filter out any articles that do not have that label, so you will see only those posts that carry that label, one after the other.

I used to have like 30 labels and decided to trim it down to a few, distinct categories.

Of course, too, every post can carry more than one label in case it fits in to more than one category.
