How to get started Blogging for the Novice

Sometimes it's a daunting experience for a newbie who wants to promote his/her business that they simply give up.

I'd love if some more experience folks weighed in on this subject. I'm a blogging newbie and I'm sure there's a lot of us out there.

I would also love some easy to follow advice from experience bloggers... I followed a standard template on blogspot, and it's OK, but I would love to know how to better personalize what I have...

Hello! I love blogging ;)!

Here are some advice I can offer:

-blog offten, the more you do the more followers you will get and your blog will be visible in google.
-think of topics to talk about, yes its fun to promote your shop but, readers don't usually like to read about your business over and over again.
- to change the design of your blog: sing in,click on design,the go thru the steps of backgrounds,fonts choices,colors.. etc.
-Make sure to use tags in each post, that's how google search finds you!
-Have fun! Talk about silly things :)! Blogging is supossed to be fun so make a game out of it!

Explain using tags in the posts?

When you post your blog there is or should be a little box for you to enter tags, just like your Etsy store. It helps the search engines or Bots find your blog.

Just like Crememagnolia said! When you are posting, there is an option for you to enter tags in the little box on the bottom of you post!

Btw Creme- I Love how your blog looks! One thing I was wondering is, Do you know how to make your posts a bit wider? besides that It looks great!!!
