How do you all come up with your Blogger Templates?

Do you create your own with the canned templates, Create yours in some type of program (please share), have someone create for you?

I'm having problems just navigating through mine. I'm very Blog challenged, and most of the time can't figure out the simplest of instructions, especially when they start talking about html etc.

I had someone design my nana g creations one, but I want to do one for another shop I'm opening soon and would love some idea's on where to go to get a template and easy install and clear instructions. Any idea's for me? <3

I've been trying to learn everything I can for mine and I've done everything myself, starting with Blogger's templates. It is confusing at first, but you start to get the hang of it pretty quickly.

For starting from scratch, I totally recommend Pugly Pixel. http://www.puglypixel.com/category/freebies/ Katrina rocks. She has three templates that are very simple and sophisticated, but still fun. She gives all the instructions needed to use them and there may be a video as well, can't remember for sure.

I blog with Wordpress and they have a great set of straightforward free templates. Although I admit I upgraded recently to a paid blog format... it was trickier to customize (widgets only, no CSS) but I'm happy with the end result after some blood, sweat and tears.

If you do a search for free blogger templates it will bring up lots to choose from. That's how I found mine and then I simply edited the html to fit what I wanted.

I had noo idea about blogs and blogger templates when I started my blog about a week ago, but just googled "blogger templates" and eventually (yeah, it took a while to look through what seems to be TONNES) found one that I liked and then tried to work out how to put it on my blog through trial and error, ha!
