Do you have you own domain?

The team blog and my own blog both have custom domains (meaning, not .blogspot.com). Last month, the team blog featured an article about the importance of having your own domain (and getting one as soon as possible) and I was wondering how many of you have a custom domain?

I just read the post - sounds like a great idea!
We have our own website (soulfuljournals.com), and I would love to keep our blog on blogspot but have it linked to our site so the url would be: soulfuljournals.com/blog.
Does anyone know how to do this without having to start all over?

I have my own domain name for my Etsy blog (www.bookgeekery.com) however, we don't have our own domain name for our (my mom and i) blog about my brother's autism.

i think it's a good idea to have your own domain name, especially if you have a shop with the same title. it just looks more professional. however, i don't think it's needed for "everyday blogs".

I like having my bookgeekery.com, it's easy and sounds more professional. Plus, only 10 dollars a year from blogger... that's like nothing!

I have my blog separately - just because I started the blog before my site, and I dont' feel like changing it over :P

I have my own domain for my blog, but it just forwards to my blogspot page. I advertise www.julieannart.com but when the page actually loads the URL says www.julieannart.blogspot.com

I mostly just got the domain because I think it's easier for people to remember. For other blogs I follow I sometimes finding myself asking if their blog was on wordpress or typepad, etc.

I bought the .com for my blogger blog (thisisbeige) as soon as I registered the name, just in case I want it sometime in the future. I'm a newbie so for now it just sits.

Honestly, it's not very costly to get your own domain and set it to refer directly to your blogger/typepad/wordpress blog. If you can do it, I say go for it! :)

One of m,y favorite blogs is extremely professional, but still uses blogspot, www.projectrungay.blogspot.com ... I do think if it is going to actually be your full *website* it's good idea to have your own domain name... but if it's a more informal, personal blog? I dunno < shrug >

Yes, I do. I purchased it a week or so ago. I think it definitely helps people to see that you really are a serious blogger, not just a fly by nighter. :)

I never quite know how to answer this question on Etsy, because I have three websites with their own domains but none of them has anything to do with my Etsy shop or blog. I don't feel as if I blog regularly enough to get one for my blog at this point.
