Can anyone help? Moving a Wordpress blog to a new host

I'm about to move my website to a new host. Nothing 'wrong' with the old one, just couldn't do updates as well as the current one uses OsCommerce...

so I'm moving to pappashop.

but the problem is this blog. I have it on a Wordpress. And that's as much as I know. I'd love to find someone who could give me (simple) instructions on how to do the move. I've gone to the Wordpress forums, but I'm not as sophisticated as I probably should be.

the alternative is, of course, to actually copy each of my 60-65 posts down, and redo them as 'flashback' posts. But I'd really prefer to just MOVE it.

I'd also need something done with the theme.

Any advice?

I wanted to move from wordpress .com to .org recently and got too afraid. I've got like six years of posts to migrate...

I'll keep an eye on this thread, if you figure it out I wanna know!

It's really easy. Use an open source file transfer protocol (FTP) software called FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org/.

Copy all of your files from your old host to a new file on your PC (your local hard drive) . Then use FileZilla to transfer the data from your PC to your new host file directory. Here is a You Tube tutorial that can better give you the steps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4XdkHJRMhg

thanks for the tutorial. I'll see about that later today. I'm hoping to get everything moved, and a new email process set up by the end of the weekend. Of course, this is also the weekend that I'm moving my son to college.
