Blogging when you have nothing to write

So many changes in the household and at work have made it near impossible for me to find time to read other blogs

I'm also having trouble writing anything. I've done a couple sporatic photo posts, but not much else since Grandpa 1 died and Grandpa 2 became terminal with his cancer and Grandma 1 moved in with her two dogs.

I love my blog. And I love blogging. What do you do to motivate yourself back into blogging after some serious downtime?

Re: Blogging when you have nothing to write

Wow, so sorry for your loss and current challenges! My whole blog is about our house projects and decor, there is no end to that list, so I always have material as long as I've been working on it. What helped motivate me was writing on the blog that I would do my best to post every Mon, Wed and Fri.

I don't know if something like that would work for you. Do you have a theme to your blog?

BTW, your work is adorable!

Re: Blogging when you have nothing to write

thanks so much :) It's mostly craft / photography themed with some personal stuff thrown in. I usually try to post a few times a week and offer DIY tutorials. It's just been chaos at the house so I havent had a chance to work on new projects, let alone shoot and post them. I'd hate to lose my readers due to inactivity. I just can't get a quiet moment to myself these days for more than 15 minutes at a time. I used to be able to do some quick posts on my lunch break at work, but we've been so slammed, i barely have time for lunch!

I need to try to focus on it - make it a priority. maybe then i can squirrel away some time :)

Re: Blogging when you have nothing to write

I tend to write 4-5 post at time and just schedule them to post over the week. Some post like my friday features are scheduled up to 2 months ahead of time. I make my Monday post on Monday since I use it to update my life, craft stuff etc. doing it this way allows my to blog when I have time and keep a steady blogging schedule.
