Does anyone know why the links are not working?

Apparently, Etsy is not converting any external links to clickable links in the forums as a security precaution. From now on, we will have to copy and paste.

I really do not like it, but in the daily especially I will take the time to copy and paste at least the three ahead of me....I think it is the right think to do.....and if I have more time I will do more. I have enjoyed reading the news blogs I have discovered here...thanks!

What caused the need for a "security precaution"? Anyone know if they had a problem or something? Ugh, it was so convenient!

links that redirect you from etsy will not hyperlink.
this was stated in the rules when i signed up... i thought it was just on your shop... but it's for every where

according to Admin:

"we pushed a fix today that causes all non-Etsy links to not be hyperlinks. It was actually a bug that caused all links to hyperlink in the first place.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused! "

so no security breach.. just a bug fix. =/

it's inconvenient for us bloggers!
but i get why they did it. there are a lot of people that don't just sell here on etsy.. and put links to there other stores/website on there page or in forums... so that's what ruins it for everyone.

If anyone is on Foxfire browser you can get this great fix called Linkification. It will convert text link to hyperlinks
