Advise with Advertising

Hello hello!
I'm pretty new to the blogging world and am wondering about advertising on my site. Does anyone have any advice? Is it lucrative and worthwhile?

I started by buying a showcase! :) It's $7 and it is for an entire day and let me tell you...well worth it! As you can see my sales jumped in the month of November and December! You will get a lot of people viewing your product, adding your product to their favorites, treasury, shops, the list goes on! :)

Project Wonderful is a great way to start out monetizing your blog! Their minimum payout is only $10, as opposed to AdSense's $100. Here's my experience with it ~

Also, Shane - you may want to check PW out for advertising your shop. You can bid as low as $0 a day, so if you find the right sites, you'll get free advertising.

I use project wonderful to advertise on my site. It's easy to use and there's no soliciting for sponsors. The more traffic you get, generally the higher the bid. When advertising, choose well your target audience.
Also check where the traffic is coming from i.e. if it's genuine or from link exchange programmes and bots.
