What tags do you use on Instagram?

I have been trying to figure out what tags work and which ones don't.

Of course I always tag #etsy =)

Are there any that you think work better than others?

definitely use tags like #instahub #instadaily. a lot of people use tags like this, which gives your photos more exposure.

I just looked up "popular hashtags for instagram" last week. There are a lot on the list but I don't feel that all are appropriate for adding to my posts about my shop. I read on more than one forum that over-tagging can be a turnoff for many followers because it interferes with the visual enjoyment of a post. I DO use #igdaily and I read that #color is a good one, too--but only if it truly applies to the pic I am sharing.

Been using #igvintage recently. Stopped using #ighub and #igdaily because there are so many spammers on IG now it's pathetic. :(

When you promote through instagram, do you have a link directly back to that item? Or do you just have a general link to your shop in your about section? I am just curious, new to this and trying ot see what works better.

I feel like my Grandma saying this, but I didn't understand what hashtags were used for until recently. So far I've used pretty obvious tags like #etsy, #manhattanhippy, #vintage. I don't like to go overboard with these things.
